Our foundation is built on a story of resilience, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by licensure candidates, and a commitment to making the journey to becoming a licensed architect more accessible, affordable, and supportive.
Why are we doing this? Because, we’re just like you!
The journey to architectural licensure can be incredibly challenging. Speaking from personal experience, I navigated this journey over several years, spending over $3,000 on study materials and an additional $2,000 on retaking exams.
Despite the wealth of resources, including extensive use of Black Spectacles, the path was fraught with low pass rates and a lack of adequate preparation. It became evident that while NCARB has made strides in providing online practice exams and resources, there remains a substantial gap in affordable, comprehensive study guides. Faced with a mental health crisis, overwhelmed by workloads, and financial strain, I realized the process of becoming licensed was unnecessarily arduous. This realization sparked the creation of Archu.

We understand that the process of studying and preparation is dynamic, mirroring the evolving nature of the architectural profession. Therefore, we are dedicated to constantly refining our content, ensuring it remains relevant, up-to-date, and responsive to the needs of our users.

At Archu, we're dedicated to offering a different kind of study guide—one that is continuously evolving. Our content creation process is informed by personal experiences, insights from recent exam takers, and the latest architectural practices. We launch with a robust foundation of study materials and are committed to refining and expanding our offerings based on feedback from our community and changes in exam content.
